Conservative dentistry, often known as operational dentistry or crown and bridge dentistry. Conservative dentistry refers to the treatment of dental caries sequelae in its broadest definition, as well as the techniques and procedures for replacing lost or defective dental tissues on individual teeth. It covers everything from caries prevention to remineralization techniques for primary carious lesions to complex restorative treatment. Conservative dentistry, which involves removing as few healthy tooth structures as possible throughout the restoration process, is an intrinsically desirable dental objective. It encompasses many types of direct and indirect restorations of individual teeth in the mouth, as well as the practise of operational dentistry and endodontics.
