Abstract

Intraoral anomalies encompass an imperative arena of the Paediatric specialty, but still many of them are left untreated or even misdiagnosed because of lack of reporting, limited knowledge and restricted expertise. A major part of such oral diseases manifest as oral features in the neonates that often creates a state of anxiety and apprehension among the parents. For timely management of such lesions, a precise diagnosis is required that is based on a thorough clinical, histopathological and radiographical examinations. The lecture aims at enlisting and describing the diagnostic characteristics of commonly encountered oral lesions in neonates.

Biography

Dr Kanika Gupta Verma received her Bachelor’s in Dentistry in 2005; and Masters in Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry in 2009. She is fellow in Scientific writing and Clinical trials. She has been working as an active academician since 13 years, with a keen interest in aesthetic and surgical management of children and adolescents. She is teaching both graduates and post graduates as Professor in Deptt of Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry, Teerthankar Mahaveer Dental College and Research Centre, Moradabad. She has around 68 national and international publications on her name. She is author to various books. She has delivered lectures in National and International Conferences. She is reviewer and editorial board member of various national and international journals.
